Gorgeous example of American Art China/Pottery. This portrait plate was made by Sterling China, in Wellsville, Ohio, around 1900. The plate features a classic Gibson Girl portrait with flowers in her hair and surrounded by a brown ombré scalloped edge and high relief embossing.
Reverse is stamped with the insignia for "Sterling China," which was only around from about 1900 - 1902 before changing their name to "Sebring" because someone nearby already had the name "Sterling". Gold lettering identifies RA McConnell & Co. as well.
This plate is exceptionally nice condition-wise. Please look at the photos for yourselves! The plate is about 9 1/4" across.
