This attractive vintage rectangular toffee or candy tin dates from the 1960's. It would have held delicious wrapped "Blue Bird" brand toffees.
The lid is hinged, and features a gold toned handle, a latch, and a money slot so this could have been used as a money box or savings bank. It sits on 4 little feet. The bottom is embossed "Blue Bird Confectionery, Harry Vincent Limited, Hunnington, Worcestershire, England".
This measures 6 1/8" by 4 1/4 " by 3 3/8".
The condition is good, as with most vintage tins it does show wear. There are some scratches and scrapes. A little darkening on the inside and on the feet and latch. . The lid fits well.
This has been gently wiped with a damp cloth and
was not scrubbed or soaked. It should not be used for food.
