Comanche Pottery Texas Swirl Clay 8" Bowl Handmade Carved Feathers Signed
Dates from approx the mid-century 1950s-60s era. Comanche Pottery was founded by Ron Allen named after Comanche Texas. It has a heavy clay body with hand carved feather and starburst designs and dots along the bottom base. The name "Comanche Pottery" is impressed inside the bowl. It has a marbled earth-tone glaze. It measures approx 8" in diameter, 2.25" tall.
The condition is as shown in the photographs. I could feel some possible chips or natural imperfections along the base and one rough-to-the-touch spot along in the inner ring. May be some areas of missing glaze, can't tell if that is normal, so please review the photos.
