This figurine is 5.25” high. It has no cracks, crazing or blemishes, it is in MINT Condition. The trademark places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1989-1999 but painter’s mark makes it 1992.
This is a unique Hummel figurine that is also a BANK!! Unfortunately it doesn’t have the key but a hair pin can open it! An extremely colorful and detailed porcelain piece made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory. There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted piece of a little girl saving her money - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines which never diminishes over the ages!
This bank depicts a young girl placing a coin in a medieval style poor box. 'Little Thrifty' was first modeled in 1939 by master sculptor Arthur Moeller.
