I’ve tried to research and had no luck finding anything like this, but my mom always told me that this is what it was…she was born in 1923 and attended a one room schoolhouse. It is thick glass with a rounded bottom and has a crack running through it. The top is two layers for opening and closing. It is showing corrosion. Still a great find!
