PRE-OWNED. GOOD CONDITION.
This is a SET OF TWO antique porcelain bonbon or candy dishes made in Germany. The dishes are almost identical with the exception of the bottom. One dish has a smooth bottom and a mark of "2" or "Z" on the bottom and the other has a fluted design embossed into the bottom with a fancy "S" backstamp and "Germany". The backstamp indicates the piece was made by Steinmann in Tiefenfurt, Germany, around the 1930's.
Each dish has delicate ruffled edges with gold on the rims and a floral pattern of roses and leaves. They are both roughly 4 3/4" in diameter and stand 2 5/8" tall. There are no chips on either. The dish with the embossed design on the bottom has a few small cracks - the size of a strand of hair - however, as thin as this porcelain is, you cannot see these cracks on the bottom side of the dish.
