Wedgwood black jasperware trinket box.
This type of pottery is known for its matte black stoneware (black basalt) with applied white relief decorations.
The lid features a classical scene, often identified as "The Temple of Asclepios" or "Judgment of Paris", surrounded by a border of oak leaves and acorns.
Jasperware was perfected by Josiah Wedgwood in 1775 and is a highly collectible item.
This box has a scalloped shape and is marked "Wedgwood Made in England" on the underside.
The set includes the trinket dish, what appears to be a tea light candle holder (not entirely sure what it is), and two small plates (one of them could be an ashtray).
